State of the hooves April 2021: The original owner kept the mare with cows and small herd of horses and the hoof trim was done about 2 times a year. Although the mare is prone to obesity, has a fat neck crest and sometimes has metabolic rings on the hooves, this condition does not cause the mare to have acute laminitis nor problems with movement. The hooves have very thick hoof walls. The frog is atrofied due to lack of contact with the surface. There is a noticeable crack on the front wall of the left front hoof. The mare was stumbling. Started applying P3Trim every 4 weeks.
The post monitors the left front and left rear.
Hoof condition June 2022: The hoof capsule has grown more adjacent to the coffin bone and internal structures. The crack is growing out and is less visible. The frog touches the ground and receives proper stimulation. The horse moves very well.
